Etude et optimisation d'un serveur Web

La première phase dans l'optimisation consiste à rechercher le serveur Web le mieux adapté à l'environnement utilisé par l'entreprise. Le tableau ci-dessous présente les serveurs disponibles sur le marché (sources : WebServer Compare et ServerWatch ).
Apache est le serveur Web le plus utilisé (source : Netcraft Web Server Survey ) et est le serveur qui a été choisi par la société pour ses performances, sa robustesse, et sa fiabilité (le choix s'est fait après étude des informations publiées sur les serveurs, mais aucun test de performances n'a été effectué sur les serveurs en interne).
Avant d'évoquer les solutions d'optimisation pouvant lui être apportées, une étude de son fonctionnement est présentée.
