Study and optimization of a Web server

The first step in optimization consists in seeking the best Web server adapted to the environment used by the company. The table below presents the servers available on the market (sources : WebServer Compare et ServerWatch ).
Apache is the most used Web server (source : Netcraft Web Server Survey ) and is the server which was chosen by the company for its performances, its robustness, and its reliability (the choice was done after a study of information published on the servers, but no benchmark was carried out in-house on the servers).
Before evoking the solutions of optimization being able to be brought to it, a study of its operation is presented.
